The reflection pattern of this design is an absolute sparkle bomb and was designed by me to resemble a marquise diamond with a ‘crushed ice’ look.
Paraiba describes a specific color of tourmaline found in the Paraíba state in Brazil. Recently, synthetic YAG and sapphire has come on the market, looking to emulate that very specific neon sky blue. The Paraiba YAG material is SO close, but has lacked saturation in the other stones I have cut. Luckily this ‘Shattered Glass’ design deepens color considerably, and it has created the best Paraiba Blue in lab material by a long shot.
This listing is for a loose stone that I will cut within 2 weeks of receiving the order.
I can cut it up to 12 mm in length, or smaller if you prefer. For reference, the stone in the hand picture was ~10.5mm long.
