This material is synthetic sapphire made by the Czochralski method. I facet stones myself in my home studio.
This listing is for a loose stone that I will cut within 2 weeks of receiving the order. I can cut it up to 10mm in length, or smaller if you prefer. For reference, the stone in the hand picture was 10.3x6.4 mm long.
